What To Know Before Your Appointment

6 hours
Fasting recommended

For the most accurate results in tests related to heart health, diabetes, iron levels, or testosterone, a 6‑hour fast is recommended.

1-2 hours
Urinalysis

If your test includes urinalysis please avoid using the bathroom for an hour or two before your test as we will require a urine sample.

30 minutes
Do Not Smoke

Do not smoke for a minimum of 30 minutes before your appointment. Smoking can affect certain blood test results and may interfere with accurate readings.

24 hours
No Alcohol

Please avoid consuming alcohol for at least 24 hours before your appointment. Alcohol can affect liver function tests, blood sugar levels, and other important biomarkers in your blood work.

24 hours
Limit exercise

Please avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours before your appointment. Intense physical activity can temporarily affect certain blood markers and enzyme levels.

48 hours
Supplementation

We recommend stopping supplementation at least 48 hours prior to testing. If the supplement has been prescribed, please speak with your Doctor before stopping.

Clothing

Please wear comfortable, loose‑fitting clothing. This makes it easier to access your arms for blood collection and to place ECG leads without needing to remove additional layers.

Stay Hydrated

Drink plenty of water before your appointment. Being well-hydrated makes it easier to draw blood and can help you feel better during and after your test. Water is allowed during fasting.

Be here on time

Each visit lasts about 25 minutes, though we recommend you give yourself a 30 minute window for check-in, wait times and more. Please arrive 5 minutes early.
